Thirty-eight

Well, another year has passed; another trip around the Sun. No longer the year of rooster. It’s a dog now. Know who gets to be a dog this year? my daughter! You may be surprised to hear this news but we have a beautiful daughter now. Her name is Aoi Fujino Kester. I’ll make sure to remind her that she’s a dog and know what? dogs are my favorite animal. Influenced by my mom who’s a dog lover and has had always owned a dog ever since I was adopted.

I think this year, I wasn’t really worried about myself but worried for my wife and daughter. So that’s probably why I wasn’t being timely with my annual birthday posts. I don’t think I have a lot of things to share except I was busy with work and of course, looking after my family. At the same time, I’ve been thinking about a lot of things and what I can do in my life. It’s hard to believe I’m a dad now and have a family to look after. It’s funny because it happens rather fast. I wasn’t the type of person who’d always want a family and plan it ahead of time. I wasn’t thinking about that at all. I guess I was busy with work and enjoy doing traveling and snowboarding. Then I happen to meet my wife and everything just seem to click. Now, we have a daughter and she’s got a name, Aoi. Aside from that, I feel like I’ve found a nice balance in between life and work and have started thinking about where we’d like to settle down, have a mortgage, and grow old together. I think that’s all I can say right now.
