I have some news for you men who want to get laid.

Men have 30 seconds to impress women

“HALF of all women make their minds up within 30 seconds of meeting a man about whether he is potential boyfriend material, according to a study on speed-dating. The women were on average far quicker at making a decision than the men during some 500 speed dates at an event organised as part of Edinburgh Science Festival. The scientists behind the research said this showed just how important chat-up lines were in dating. They found that those who were “highly skilled in seduction” used chat-up lines that encouraged their dates to talk about themselves in “an unusual, quirky way”.

Geez, 30 seconds? Don’t you think you’re being a little harsh?

hahahaha that’s what we say when a guy gives us 30 sec.. “is that it?” (it seemed funnier in my head)

  2. haha well, its the same thing as when a stranger approaches us men on the street. Within the first 30 seconds, we can tell if he’s panhandling, selling us something, or just high on drugs. We get that “get away from him and don’t talk to him” response because we know he’s talking to us for some selfish reason.

So, if you approach a girl wanting nothing but sex from her. she can see right through you. Women on average have higher social IQs then men do. She gets that salesman response and pushes you away within the first 30 seconds. Unless you’re goooood (like me) and know how to disguise intent with body language and eye contact. :D

Yeah, makes sense, Kyung. The same can apply to job interviews, or in classes when a professor walks in, and you can determine if s/he’s gonna be interesting or not in less than 15 seconds. Now we know why first impression is important.

Got some good “chat-up” lines for me? ;-)
